Blowing Rocks - Up on the dunes(This photo is a 360-degree IPIX interactive image, which allows you to navigate with your mouse: up, down, right and left, in order to see the entire surrounding landscape.) A climb up a few steps brought us from sea grape populated dunes to a breathtaking view of the aquamarine waters of the Atlantic Ocean. When the photo is first loaded you are looking from a wooden platform, atop the dunes at Blowing Rocks Preserve, at the beach and aquamarine waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Navigating to the right, you see sea grapes and the path and wooden stairs that lead up to the dune. Sea grapes border the left and right sides of the path. As you continue the 360-degree turn to the images starting point, you see wooden stairs that lead you down to the beach and the Ocean. Navigating up with your mouse, you can see a mostly clear blue sky with a few, scattered clouds. Navigating down, you see the South Florida Information Access (SOFIA) web site logo, which is linked to the SOFIA main page (http://sofia.usgs.gov). |
